Bought this crossbow for my son to hunt deer with, but it is far too slow to be anything much more than a toy. I've shot genuine 180 lb cross bows and this does not even come close. At ten yards, I only get about 4" penetration in a block layered target. It is so weak that at 20 yards the bolt drops 8" prior to hitting the target. The red dot sight is a plastic piece of junk also. Arrows are low-cost alluminum variety with terrible fletching that falls off following a couple of shots. Nocks and inserts are not even glued in.
At 1st glance a bit dissapointing. Seemed at 1st like a "grown up" version of that affordable pistol crossbow you see out there about everywhere. I kept saying to myself "What do you want for a hundred bucks?" But the moment assembled I found it to be remarkably accurate, and less difficult to cock than expected.
Particularly impressed with the red dot scope. Not having considerably "scope" knowledge, I was expecting a laser pointer kind, but this is unique technology that appears like a laser by way of the lense when putting out no actual beam. And has a ten point brightness manage.
Not certain if its as quick as it claims, but I would'nt want to be on the recieving finish of this point.

I see this crossbow as a best way to acquire out if crossbows are your "Thing".
It is got me thinkin' crossbows most likely "Are" my "Factor".
The first day of enjoyable alone with this crossbow is nicely worth the acquire price.
Definitely fun!
