I bought this to go with a recently bought Barnett Wildcat C5 when I located that I could not cock it by hand, despite being in excellent physical condition. It readily installs with 3 hex wrenches which are included, and can be mounted on either side of the stock as a single prefers.
Considering that the windlass has a pawl to stop accidental discharge, it tends to make a distinctive clicking, ratcheting sound as you cock it. Otherwise, it does not require any certain strength to use and requires about 20-30 seconds to deploy.
